The Iraqi Ministry of Finance will deposit this week the first month’s salaries of pensioners into the Ministry of Finance and Kurdistan Region’s Economy accounts. Once the funds arrive, distribution of salaries will start immediately. Officials said more than 60% of pensioners will receive their payments through the “My Account” system.

The latest data shows that over one million employees, pensioners, and beneficiaries have registered for the “My Account” project. This month, nearly 700,000 pensioners will receive their salaries through the system.

During the last salary distribution, 630,000 pensioners benefited from “My Account.” This included 330,000 civil employees, 197,000 Peshmerga and security personnel, 88,000 retirees, and 11,000 families of martyrs. Officials emphasized that the system helps ensure timely and secure payments, reducing delays caused by manual cash distributions.

Like previous months, the government will issue two salary lists: one for cash payments and another through the “My Account” system. Pensioners who have not yet completed the “My Account” registration form will not receive their salaries this month. Authorities warned that thousands of pensioners still need to submit their forms to access their payments.

The Ministry continues to encourage all pensioners to register promptly. Officials explained that completing the registration allows faster salary transfers and reduces the need for physical bank visits. Moreover, the system improves transparency, tracks payments accurately, and ensures every eligible pensioner receives their full amount.

Authorities also highlighted that the “My Account” project is part of broader reforms to modernize public salary distributions. By using digital systems, the government aims to streamline payments, avoid errors, and support pensioners across Iraq efficiently.

In summary, nearly 700,000 pensioners will benefit from the first month’s salary via the “My Account” system. Registration remains essential, and officials urge those who have not completed it to do so immediately to avoid delays.
