Erbil, June 3, 2025 – The Rwanga Foundation water campaign has started. It aims to fix worsening water shortages in Erbil city. This urgent campaign supports the Kurdistan Regional Government’s emergency water project. It helps neighborhoods still disconnected from the main network.

Many Erbil communities have long lacked regular water access. Consequently, daily life has become harder for hundreds of families. To help, the Rwanga Foundation water campaign delivers water every day. They use a consistent and organized system.

Four neighborhoods get aid from this campaign. These include Shawes, Farmanbaran, Qalay Nwe, and Bnaslawa. Each day, clean water reaches 550 families through truck deliveries.

Overall, the campaign will last three months. In the meantime, it fills the gap until government infrastructure is ready. Rwanga Foundation believes water is a basic human right. Therefore, they serve families without delay.

To keep things efficient, deliveries happen daily on a fixed schedule. The team watches routes closely to avoid missed households. At the same time, volunteers and staff work to cover all target areas.

In addition, the campaign teaches water conservation and hygiene. Rwanga promotes responsible water use for the long term. Families learn habits that reduce waste and improve health.

Government officials praised the foundation’s work. According to them, the campaign fills a vital gap during delays. Not only that, it shows how nonprofits and government can work well together.

As a result, the effort brings short-term help and long-term impact. With ongoing support, families expect a more stable summer. In the end, Rwanga’s work proves that community action solves problems.

With temperatures rising, water delivery is even more important. The Rwanga Foundation water campaign meets a growing need in Erbil.
