The MyAccount project team has warned Kurdistan Region employees who have not yet completed their registration forms.
The team said employees must complete the process as soon as possible. Otherwise, authorities may stop their salary payments next month.
Around 2% of salary recipients in the Kurdistan Region have not yet registered with the MyAccount system. The project team urged these employees to visit banks and complete the required forms.
The warning comes as Iraq moves toward ending cash salary payments.
According to a decision by Iraq’s Ministry of Finance, authorities will stop distributing salaries in cash from September 1. Therefore, employees who have not registered with MyAccount must complete the process quickly. Otherwise, they could face administrative action and lose access to their next salary payment.
The MyAccount team said that unregistered employees must finish the required procedures as soon as possible.
The team stressed that employees who fail to comply could face administrative measures. Their salaries could also remain suspended for the following month.
Meanwhile, the MyAccount project continues distributing bank cards to employees and other salary recipients.
Banks are issuing thousands of cards to recipients every day. The project team said only around 50,000 cards remain in the printing process.
Authorities expect to complete those cards soon. Banks will then distribute them to the remaining salary recipients.
The continued card distribution aims to ensure that employees can receive their salaries through bank accounts after cash payments end.
The latest warning puts additional pressure on the remaining unregistered employees.
With only 2% of salary recipients still outside the system, the government wants to complete the transition to electronic salary payments.
Employees who have not yet completed their MyAccount registration should therefore visit their designated banks without delay.
The transition will make bank accounts the main channel for salary payments across the Kurdistan Region.
