The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has completed the July salary list and plans to send it to Baghdad within the next two days. Officials want to speed up salary payments and help public employees receive their wages on time.
The KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy completed the list after finishing the distribution of June salaries. Ministry staff are now completing the final administrative procedures before sending the documents to the Iraqi federal government.
A source at the Ministry of Finance and Economy said only a few technical procedures remain. The ministry will complete those steps within two days. It will then send the salary list and the financial review report to Baghdad.
Officials prepared the documents early to avoid delays. They also want Baghdad to process the payroll quickly. Their goal is to ensure Kurdistan Region employees receive their salaries on schedule.
The ministry originally planned to submit the list last week. However, officials discovered that many government employees reached retirement age on July 1. They decided to update the payroll before submitting the documents.
Accounting departments reviewed employee records and updated the payroll database. They removed retired employees and corrected the necessary information. The ministry completed these changes before finalizing the list.
Officials said these updates will reduce administrative mistakes and improve the payment process. They stressed that accurate payroll records help prevent delays and support faster financial procedures.
The July salary list now reflects the latest staffing changes. Ministry officials expect to finish the remaining work within the next two days.
Salary payments remain one of the Kurdistan Region’s top financial priorities. The KRG continues working with the Iraqi federal government to improve coordination and maintain regular salary payments.
After receiving the documents, Baghdad will verify the payroll information and approve the funding. Officials hope federal authorities will complete the review quickly. They also expect employees to receive their July salaries without unnecessary delays.
The KRG July salary list marks another step toward stronger financial coordination between Erbil and Baghdad. Both governments continue working to improve the public salary payment system.
