Kurdistan Region Delegation Attends Future Energy Forum to Advance Sectoral Growth

A high-level delegation from the Kurdistan Region, led by Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, has arrived in Washington, D.C., to participate in the Future Energy Forum, a key platform for promoting energy development and strategic international cooperation.

The Kurdistan Region’s participation underscores its commitment to expanding the energy sector, attracting investment, and strengthening global partnerships. The delegation includes the Minister of Natural Resources and the Minister of Electricity, reflecting the Region’s focus on modernizing its energy infrastructure and policy framework.

In addition to the forum, Prime Minister Barzani is scheduled to meet with senior U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Robio, members of Congress, and other decision-makers. Discussions will address critical regional matters such as the formation of the 10th cabinet, unification of the Peshmerga forces, and continued U.S. financial and logistical support.

This visit reaffirms the Kurdistan Region’s strategic priority on energy as a driver of economic growth and diplomatic engagement.
