Dana Gas has announced the resumption of gas production at the Kormor field in the Kurdistan Region after several weeks of disrupted operations. The company confirmed that production activities have now restarted and are gradually returning to normal levels.

In a statement released on Monday, Dana Gas said it had successfully resumed operations following a period during which work had been carried out intermittently. The disruption had affected output at the Kormor gas field, one of the region’s most important energy sources.

The company explained that, during the downtime, it worked closely with relevant government authorities to address the challenges that had impacted operations. Coordination between the company and officials played a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient restart of production.

Dana Gas also highlighted that it implemented a series of precautionary measures throughout the disruption period. These measures focused on maintaining operational safety and protecting both employees and natural resources. The company emphasized that the safety of its workforce remained a top priority at all times.

In addition, technical teams carried out necessary checks and adjustments to ensure that facilities were ready to resume production without risks. These efforts helped stabilize the situation and allowed operations to restart smoothly.

The Kormor field plays a crucial role in supplying gas for power generation in the Kurdistan Region. Therefore, the resumption of production is expected to support electricity supply and reduce pressure on the energy sector.

Dana Gas reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stable production and continuing cooperation with authorities to prevent future disruptions.
