The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting investors across the Kurdistan Region. Prime Minister Masrour Barzani announced during a high-level meeting with major investors in Erbil.

KRG spokesperson Peshawa Hawramani stated that Barzani emphasized the government’s commitment to facilitating business operations. He said officials will work to remove obstacles and simplify procedures for investors.

Barzani thanked investors for their role in developing projects across the Region. He praised their contributions to economic growth and job creation.

“I want to hear your suggestions and observations,” Barzani told participants. He said investors play an important role in shaping Kurdistan’s development plans.

During the meeting, investors praised the Kurdistan Region’s reconstruction efforts. They highlighted projects launched by the ninth cabinet and described them as important steps for economic progress.

Among the projects discussed were the Runaki electricity project and the MyAccount banking project. Participants also pointed to improvements in roads, bridges, agriculture, and water resource management.

Hawramani said the government provided investors with detailed explanations on several issues. Therefore, he added that officials renewed their promise to facilitate administrative and technical procedures linked to investment activities.

At the end of the meeting, investors presented recommendations to address current economic and business challenges. Hawramani confirmed that all suggestions and concerns were formally documented.

He said the government will review each issue carefully and follow up on them individually.

Barzani also discussed political and economic developments in Iraq and the wider region. He expressed hope that Iraq’s new federal cabinet will help bring more stability.

Moreover, he said stronger cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad could help resolve outstanding issues. He stressed that solutions should respect constitutional principles and Kurdistan’s federal status.

The Prime Minister also referred to the Kurdistan Region’s recent parliamentary elections. He said efforts are underway to form a new KRG cabinet soon.

Barzani ended the meeting by reaffirming support for the private sector. He said the government remains focused on economic growth and stronger investment opportunities.
