More than 922,000 employees and salary recipients in the Kurdistan Region will receive their July salaries through the MyAccount project.

The project team has asked beneficiaries not to visit ATMs until they receive a notification confirming that their salaries have reached their accounts.

Digital salary distribution has now started across all provinces of the Kurdistan Region. Bank teams are currently filling ATMs with cash to support salary withdrawals.

The MyAccount team said the process aims to prevent overcrowding at ATMs. Officials will notify each beneficiary when their salary reaches their bank account.

The team will send a text message directly to the beneficiary’s mobile phone. Recipients can then visit an ATM and withdraw their salaries.

In an official statement, the MyAccount team urged employees not to visit ATMs before receiving their notifications.

The team said bank employees are currently working to refill ATMs. It added that beneficiaries will receive a text message once their salaries become available.

The system should help reduce unnecessary queues and prevent congestion at ATM locations.

According to MyAccount figures, around 950,000 people have registered for the project so far. The project has distributed the same number of bank cards to registered beneficiaries.

Authorities have installed around 710 ATMs at more than 200 locations across the Kurdistan Region.

Erbil has the largest number of registered beneficiaries, with around 395,000 people. Sulaymaniyah follows with 314,000 registered users.

Duhok has around 192,000 registered beneficiaries. Halabja has approximately 21,000 users.

The project’s beneficiaries include around 388,000 civilian employees. Another 238,000 beneficiaries work in the Peshmerga and security forces.

Around 260,000 pensioners also receive salaries through the system. In addition, about 37,000 members of martyrs’ families participate in the project.

All beneficiaries have their own bank accounts under the digital salary system.

MyAccount represents a major initiative of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s ninth cabinet. The project aims to digitize salary payments and make monthly payments easier for beneficiaries.

The system also aims to reduce cash transactions. Through trusted banks, beneficiaries can receive their monthly salaries more efficiently.

For now, officials are asking beneficiaries to wait for the SMS notification. This approach should help banks manage ATM demand and ensure a smoother July salary distribution.
