The Erbil Directorate of Oil and Minerals has announced the final phase of electronic fuel card distribution. The program targets residents whose food ration records belong to Article 140 areas and who currently live in Erbil.

The directorate asked eligible residents to visit its offices and collect their fuel cards. Officials said the new batch includes the last group of approved beneficiaries.

Salar Mohammed, Head of Inspection and Follow-Up at the directorate, said residents can begin collecting their cards on Sunday, May 31. He explained that authorities have completed all preparations for the distribution process.

Nearly 40,000 fuel cards are ready for citizens whose food ration forms belong to Article 140 areas or the Soran administration. The program also covers those who currently live in Erbil.

Newly married couples will also receive fuel cards through this phase. Officials added that these families now qualify for the electronic fuel system.

The directorate has also prepared electronic fuel cards for around 330 families in Erbil. Authorities continue to expand the system to include more eligible households.

Some residents with food ration records in Mosul province can also benefit. However, this phase only includes people from Kalak, Gwer, Makhmour, and Qaraj who live in Erbil.

Officials urged residents to bring the required documents. Applicants must carry the original food ration card and one photocopy. Without these documents, staff cannot hand over the fuel card.

The electronic fuel card system helps organize fuel distribution across the region. It also makes fuel services easier to access for eligible families.

Authorities encourage residents to collect their cards as soon as possible. Early collection will help prevent delays and ensure smooth service.

The new distribution campaign marks another step toward improving public services in Erbil. Thousands of residents are expected to receive their cards in the coming days.
