The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has confirmed that Dana Gas will carry out a three-week repair project at the Kormor oil field, which is anticipated to lead to some power shortages during the process. According to an electricity official, the impact on electricity supply is expected to be manageable due to the current lower demand.

The rehabilitation work is scheduled to begin tonight at 12:00 pm as part of preparations for the upcoming summer season. Engineer Ghalib Mohammed, the director of the Sulaimani Electricity Control, noted that although electricity supply may be affected, the demand at this time is not high, which should ease the impact.

The Ministry of Electricity, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and Dana Gas will collaborate closely to ensure the success of the repair operation. The Ministry of Electricity has emphasized that this work is expected to significantly enhance electricity services for the summer.
