A new residential development called Lavender City has entered the Erbil housing market. The project offers a modern community focused on sustainability, smart technology, and green living.
Developers chose a location in northern Erbil along the 150-Meter Road. They combined modern architecture with large green spaces and smart infrastructure. The project targets families who want a peaceful lifestyle and a healthier environment.
Lavender City includes 920 villas, each covering 220 square meters. Developers will use solar energy to supply a significant portion of the community’s electricity needs. Therefore, the project reflects the growing demand for environmentally friendly housing in the Kurdistan Region.
Kamaran Ali, a project representative, announced the official launch and highlighted the strong interest shown by the real estate sector.
Many property and housing companies attended the launch event. Additionally, several firms expressed interest in marketing and selling the villas.
Project owner Ahmed Ramzi said the team secured official permits years ago. However, the company completed every legal and administrative requirement before introducing the project to buyers.
Ramzi explained that each villa costs $157,000. Buyers pay 70% of the total value in five installments before receiving the keys. They can then pay the remaining 30% over three years through monthly payments of $500.
Each villa features a large guest hall, an indoor kitchen, an outdoor kitchen, three bedrooms, and a private 55-square-meter garden.
The design team placed green spaces at the center of the project. Instead of limiting gardens to private homes, they extended landscaped areas into streets and public spaces.
Delovan Dilawar, an engineer and manager involved in the design process, said residents will move through green corridors when they travel to schools, markets, or mosques. This approach creates a more attractive environment and reduces dependence on busy streets.
The design encourages walking and outdoor activities. It also strengthens the connection between residential areas and public facilities.
Developers plan to complete the project within two and a half years. Once finished, Lavender City will rank among Erbil’s largest modern residential communities and will offer a blend of smart living, sustainability, and green urban design.
