The Kurdistan–UAE trade mission began as a joint delegation from the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Union of Kurdistan Chambers arrived in the Emirates. The mission aims to strengthen economic ties and expand commercial cooperation with the UAE.

In a statement, the Erbil Chamber said the Kurdistan–UAE trade mission seeks to attract Emirati investors, encourage major UAE companies to enter the Kurdistan market, exchange business delegations, and sign new memorandums of understanding with leading Emirati institutions.

Therefore, the delegation plans to visit chambers of commerce in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Ajman. These visits will help both sides explore new opportunities, share experience, and discuss long-term cooperation.

One of the main goals of the Kurdistan–UAE trade mission is to study how the Emirates built and managed successful commercial hubs. Erbil aims to develop its own central commercial center soon, and the delegation wants to learn from the UAE’s model.

For this reason, the team will tour major trade zones and business centers across the Emirates. They will also hold several meetings to prepare future projects and discuss joint initiatives.

The chamber added that the mission reflects the Kurdistan Region’s broader effort to expand global trade partnerships. It also aims to create a more attractive investment environment for international companies.

The UAE has become one of the region’s top business gateways. It hosts world-class free zones, logistics hubs, and international exhibitions that draw investors from around the globe.

Kurdistani companies increasingly take part in major trade events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. They want to position the Kurdistan Region as a competitive destination for foreign investment.

Economic ties between Kurdistan and the UAE continue to grow. Emirati firms now operate in construction, real estate, energy, and retail sectors in Erbil and other cities.

The Kurdistan–UAE trade mission aims to build on this progress. It focuses on formalizing cooperation, sharing expertise, and preparing joint economic projects that can boost growth in both markets.

With stronger partnerships, the Kurdistan–UAE trade mission can open new doors for investment and help the Kurdistan Region expand its presence in Gulf markets.
