The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has submitted the August salary list for its employees to Iraq’s Federal Ministry of Finance.

A technical team from the KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy traveled to Baghdad after completing a detailed review of the salary list.

On Sunday, the team officially submitted the August salary list to the Accounting Department of Iraq’s Federal Ministry of Finance.

According to a source from the KRG Ministry of Finance and Economy, the team arrived in Baghdad on Saturday night. Then, on Sunday, officials handed over the August salary list. They also submitted the financial balance report for July.

The source said the submission followed the completion of the necessary checks. Therefore, Iraq’s Federal Ministry of Finance can now begin reviewing the documents.

The KRG submits its salary lists and financial reports to Baghdad every month. This process forms part of the region’s financial commitments to the federal government.

After receiving the documents, Iraq’s Ministry of Finance reviews the salary list. Officials then examine the number of employees and other financial details.

The process also helps both sides coordinate salary payments. In addition, it provides Baghdad with updated financial information from the Kurdistan Region.

The latest submission comes as Iraq prepares its own salary financing procedures for August.

Iraq’s Finance Minister Falih Al-Sari recently instructed his ministry’s Accounting Department to begin procedures for financing August salaries for federal employees.

The KRG’s submission could now allow the federal ministry to continue its review process. However, the timing of the next steps will depend on the ministry’s examination of the submitted documents.

The August salary list is part of the KRG’s regular monthly process with Baghdad. The region continues to submit updated salary data and financial reports as part of its coordination with the federal government.

For KRG employees, the completion of this process remains an important step toward receiving their monthly salaries.
