The Kurdistan Region has initiated the transfer of salaries for certain contract employees and teachers through the “My Account” banking system. Efforts are currently underway to expand this system to include the broader group of contract teachers.

According to available information, the names and banking details of numerous contract teachers have been submitted to financial institutions for processing. It is anticipated that, for the months of May and June, many contract teachers will be able to access their salaries directly through ATMs via the “My Account” platform.

Ali Rauf, a representative for the contract teachers, emphasized the community’s primary concern: timely and problem-free salary payments. Additionally, he reiterated demands for the permanent appointment of contract teachers in the upcoming fiscal year.

The education sector in the Kurdistan Region currently employs 37,933 contract teachers, highlighting the scale and importance of the ongoing efforts to streamline salary disbursements and address employment stability within the sector.
