The Ministry of Finance in the Kurdistan Region has completed the required steps for releasing May salaries. Officials say they finalized the salary list and the monthly audit balance. They now prepare both documents for submission to Baghdad.

Iraqi authorities plan to start salary distribution across the country on Tuesday. They have increased efforts to pay all public employees before the upcoming holiday period. They aim to avoid delays and ensure financial stability for workers.

A source from the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Regional Government confirmed the completion of the May salary list review. The source also said officials finished the April reconciliation audit. The ministry will send both reports to Baghdad on Tuesday for approval and processing.

This process reflects ongoing financial coordination between Erbil and Baghdad. Both sides work to ensure salary payments follow federal financial procedures. Officials stress the importance of timely data submission to avoid disruptions in salary payments.

The transfer of non-oil revenues from the Kurdistan Region to Baghdad remains another key issue. Both governments continue discussions on this obligation. However, they have not yet agreed on the exact amount for May.

The Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Finance continues talks with federal authorities to finalize the figure. Once both sides agree, the region will transfer the amount under existing financial arrangements.

Officials describe the submission of salary data and financial reports as an important step. It helps keep monthly salary payments on track. Both Erbil and Baghdad are working to speed up the process. Many public employees still wait for the release of their May salaries.
