Another remote village has fully shifted to solar power and ended years of electricity shortages. A clean energy project led by the Rwanga Foundation now provides stable 24-hour electricity to every household. Diesel generators are no longer needed, and power interruptions have largely disappeared.
The system relies on solar panels that convert sunlight into continuous electricity. This change has created a reliable and sustainable energy source for all residents. It also marks a major improvement in daily life across the village.
Residents describe a dramatic transformation in living conditions. Additionally, they say life used to be unstable, with electricity available only for limited hours. They explained that households lived between darkness and weak power supply. Now, they say everything has changed and electricity is available throughout the day without interruption.
Community members also praised the project for improving comfort and stability in daily life. Therefore, they expressed gratitude for the initiative, saying it has significantly improved living standards and reduced hardship.
Others called for similar solar projects to be expanded to nearby villages. Furthermore, they said communities feel strong appreciation and hope that more rural areas will benefit from clean energy solutions in the future.
The Rwanga Foundation implemented this solar project as part of its renewable energy program. It is the fifth village in the region to receive a full solar electricity system.
Therefore, the executive director of the foundation said the goal is to protect the environment and improve public services. He added that the project reflects a long-term vision focused on sustainable development and better living conditions for communities.
The system provides a total capacity of 1,500 amps. Each household receives a stable 15-amp supply. The foundation fully funded the project, and all village homes now benefit from continuous electricity.
This solar initiative does more than power homes. It reduces pollution, cuts fuel use, and removes dependence on diesel generators. It also highlights how renewable energy can transform rural life and support a cleaner and more sustainable future.
