The Kurdistan Region’s digital salary platform, known as MyAccount, has announced its latest figures for April salary payments, showing continued growth in the number of employees receiving wages electronically.

According to newly published data released on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, more than 762,000 salary recipients are now receiving their monthly payments through the digital platform. This marks another increase in adoption as the regional government continues efforts to modernize salary distribution and reduce dependence on traditional cash payments.

Therefore, the report also revealed that over 900,000 public employees and beneficiaries have already registered with the MyAccount project. Meanwhile, authorities have distributed around 800,000 payment cards to users across the Kurdistan Region.

To support the growing number of beneficiaries, the project currently operates through more than 600 ATMs located in over 200 different service points, making salary withdrawals and financial services more accessible.

Furthermore, from a geographical perspective, Erbil recorded the highest number of registered beneficiaries, placing first among all provinces.

Salary recipients by province:

  • Erbil: 364,800 beneficiaries
  • Sulaymaniyah: 208,200 beneficiaries
  • Duhok: 179,000 beneficiaries
  • Halabja: 10,410 beneficiaries

The platform also shared a breakdown of beneficiaries based on salary category, showing that civil servants make up the largest share of users.

Beneficiaries by category:

  • Peshmerga and Asayish personnel: 218,000 people
  • Retirees: 168,000 people
  • Families of martyrs: 19,000 people

Monthly growth data indicates steady expansion in the number of digital salary users throughout 2026.

Monthly growth of MyAccount beneficiaries:

  • April: 762,000 users
  • March: 736,000 users
  • February: 722,100 users

The figures highlight a consistent rise in public trust and adoption of digital financial services in the Kurdistan Region.

Separately, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Finance and Economy announced the official schedule for April salary distribution. Based on the ministry’s timetable, salary payments will begin on May 13, 2026, and continue until May 16, 2026.

The continued expansion of MyAccount reflects broader efforts to improve transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in public salary payments while accelerating the region’s shift toward digital financial infrastructure.
