Khalid Khoshnaw, the CEO of Hemn Group, has announced that the water shortage issue in Erbil will be resolved by July 2025. The Erbil Water Emergency Project, a major initiative aimed at addressing the city’s long-standing water supply problems, will ensure that all households in Erbil will have access to water by this time. Khoshnaw emphasized the importance of strategic international partnerships, highlighting recent engagements with global companies at the World Economic Forum. However, he noted that these meetings were not contractually binding but rather part of an effort to attract investment and expertise to benefit the Kurdistan region. The completion of the water project marks a significant milestone in improving essential services for the people of Erbil.
