As part of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ninth Cabinet priorities to expand green spaces and enhance urban presence, the construction of Rashkin Park in Erbil is advancing swiftly. The project has already reached 10% completion and is set to become one of the city’s most beautiful parks upon finalization.
Rashkin Park is being built with a budget of 15 billion dinars and spans 120,000 square meters. It is being developed under the special supervision of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Kurdistan Region.
The park will feature several modern facilities and services, including:
- A 1,600-meter-long project area
- A dedicated garage
- Two modern cafeterias
- Walking and cycling paths
- Two large warehouses with a capacity of 300 cubic meters each
- Deep water wells drilled to 500 meters
- Advanced electrical and lighting systems
- Extensive greenery with 1,000 trees, evergreen grass, and tens of thousands of flowers
A modern fountain will also be installed at the heart of the park, adding to its aesthetic appeal and recreational value.
