The process of distributing January salaries will begin this week in the Kurdistan Region. Officials confirmed that MyAccount salary withdrawal will start this afternoon for eligible recipients. Authorities will distribute salaries over three days: Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Iraq’s Ministry of Finance sent 931 billion and 257 million Iraqi dinars for January salaries. After that, the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Finance and Economy received the amount in cash through the Erbil branch of the Central Bank. As a result, officials finalized procedures to begin salary payments.

A source from the Kurdistan Region’s Ministry of Finance and Economy said that employees registered in the MyAccount system can visit ATMs this afternoon. However, they must first receive a notification message. Once they receive the message, they can complete their MyAccount salary withdrawal because the funds will already be transferred to their bank accounts.

Moreover, officials said that nearly 700,000 recipients will receive their January payments through the MyAccount system this month. Therefore, the MyAccount salary withdrawal process will cover a large portion of public employees and beneficiaries.

According to the latest data, more than one million employees, salary earners, and beneficiaries have registered in the MyAccount project so far. The government continues to expand this digital salary system. As a result, authorities aim to simplify payments, reduce delays, and improve transparency.

In addition, the three-day distribution process will help manage pressure on banks and ATM machines. This step will also ensure an organized MyAccount salary withdrawal process across the region.

The MyAccount project remains a key financial reform initiative. Officials believe it will modernize salary distribution and strengthen trust in the banking system.
