President Barzani Receives New Polish Consul General, Stresses Stronger Relations

President Masoud Barzani received Maciej Zajdel, the new Polish Consul General in Erbil, in Pirmam. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and Poland.

According to a statement from the Barzani Headquarters, Consul General Zajdel expressed his pleasure at meeting President Masoud Barzani. He confirmed Poland’s readiness to expand cooperation with the Kurdistan Region across all sectors. He also welcomed the opportunity to begin his diplomatic mission in Erbil.

During the meeting, Zajdel praised the stability and security of the Kurdistan Region. He highlighted the progress made in reconstruction and development. He also commended the role of President Barzani and the Kurdistan Regional Government in maintaining peace and stability. In addition, he praised the resilience of the Kurdish people and their ability to overcome past hardships.

President Barzani congratulated Zajdel on assuming his new post. He expressed full support for enhancing relations between the Kurdistan Region and Poland. He stressed the importance of mutual cooperation and continued dialogue.

President Barzani also referred to the historical struggles of the Polish people. He noted that Poland overcame major challenges through unity and determination. He added that Poland has since become one of Europe’s advanced and respected nations. He highlighted the shared values of resilience between the Kurdish and Polish peoples.

The two sides also discussed the broader situation in the region and Iraq. They exchanged views on the history and struggle of the Kurdish people. In addition, they talked about the natural beauty and landscapes of the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting reflected both sides’ commitment to deepening diplomatic ties. It also underscored their shared interest in expanding cooperation in the future.
