The Kurdistan Regional Government has initiated the electronic distribution of flour and food supplies in Erbil province, involving 2,297 food agents. According to Siamand Qadir, the Director of Food Receipts in Erbil, this digital system has been operational for several days.
In the initial phase of implementation, electronic citizen cards will be used for the agents, although challenges may arise as the system expands and adapts to the needs of citizens. The introduction of electronic food receipts is expected to streamline the process and offer significant convenience to the public.
The Iraqi Ministry of Commerce and Industry has been working towards the electronic transformation of monthly food receipts for over a year, aiming to improve efficiency and accessibility for citizens.
