Since 2012, work on several projects in Erbil had been suspended; however, following the recommendation of Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, construction has now resumed on a number of these projects. One significant development is Slava City, previously known as Warren City, which is set to feature around 700 housing units. Several zones within the project have already been completed, and their respective owners have received the keys to their new homes.

Saman Arab, the Director General of Investment in Erbil, confirmed that of the five projects previously suspended in the province, four have now resumed work. Some of these projects are nearing completion, with plans to hand them over to owners by the end of the year. One of the upcoming projects, Paradise Plain, will also resume shortly. The approval to transfer the project to a new investor has been granted by the Prime Minister, and a committee has been formed to facilitate this transition.

Aso Abdullah, the engineer overseeing Slava City, explained that many investment housing projects were halted in the past due to the financial crisis. However, with the support of the ninth cabinet and the recommendation from Prime Minister Barzani, more than 10 housing projects have been revived, with some already completed.
