Roborock has introduced a new robotic vacuum cleaner that can climb and clean stairs. The company revealed the device at CES 2026, the world’s largest technology exhibition.

Until now, robot vacuums only worked on flat floors. They could not handle stairs or raised surfaces. Roborock’s new model changes that. It uses advanced mechanics and artificial intelligence to move across different levels inside the home.

The vacuum features two articulated mechanical legs instead of standard wheels. Each leg has a wheel that allows the robot to climb stairs step by step. During a live demonstration, the device climbed five stairs in about 40 seconds. It then cleaned the steps without any human help.

The robot also includes Roborock’s AdaptiLift system. This system adjusts the height of the vacuum’s body. As a result, the device can overcome obstacles up to 8.4 centimeters high. It can also move easily over thick carpets without getting stuck.

Artificial intelligence plays a key role in the vacuum’s performance. Using three-dimensional sensors, the robot scans and maps a home in seconds. It detects obstacles and avoids collisions while moving independently.

Experts say this product represents a major step forward for service robots. These machines can now make decisions and operate in complex home environments. Users no longer need to carry the vacuum between floors.

Roborock has not announced the final price. However, technology analysts expect it to cost more than $2,600. This would make it one of the most advanced and expensive household robots planned for release in 2026.
