Gold prices increased on Tuesday in Erbil markets, showing a slight upward trend compared to the previous day. Market data indicate that prices remained relatively stable but edged higher due to ongoing demand and global market influences. This gradual increase reflects both local buying activity and international price movements.

In Erbil, the price of 22-karat gold reached around 1.133 million IQD per mithqal. Meanwhile, 21-karat gold recorded approximately 1.083 million IQD per mithqal, making it the most commonly traded type in the local market. For 18-karat gold, the price stood near 929,000 IQD per mithqal. These prices vary slightly between shops depending on craftsmanship and additional costs.

Therefore, jewelry shops across the city reported consistent activity. Buyers continue to show interest despite the relatively high prices. Traders explained that price movements depend on global gold rates, currency fluctuations, and regional economic conditions. Even small changes in international markets can quickly influence local pricing.

Compared to earlier in the week, gold prices in Erbil have shown a modest increase. As Gold prices increased, it reflects external market pressures and steady local demand. Many residents still consider gold a safe investment, especially during periods of economic uncertainty and currency fluctuations.

Shop owners noted that demand remains balanced. Some customers buy gold for long-term savings, while others purchase it for weddings and personal use. However, higher prices have made some buyers more cautious. As a result, many prefer to buy smaller quantities or delay purchases.

Experts expect prices to remain within a narrow range in the short term. They believe global trends, including inflation and currency strength, will continue to influence gold prices.

Overall, the Erbil gold market remains active. Stable demand and slight price increases continue to shape trading activity, while traders closely monitor global developments for future changes.
