The Rwanga Foundation, which was founded by Idris Nechirvan Barzani, has officially inaugurated Kulak Village, marking a milestone as the first fully sustainable, solar-powered residential community in the Kurdistan Region. Designed to provide a model for environmentally conscious development, the village accommodates over 200 individuals in modern housing equipped with uninterrupted access to clean, renewable energy.
Key infrastructure within the village includes a school and a mosque, both fully powered by solar energy, ensuring consistent and eco-friendly electricity. This initiative aims to enhance the quality of life for residents while setting a precedent for future sustainable development in the region. The realization of Kulak Village was made possible through strategic support from Atrumed Health, which contributed to the implementation of clean energy technologies and sustainable planning.
