The Turkish Consulate General in Erbil confirmed that visa procedures for Turkey have not changed in the Kurdistan Region. Any recent adjustments affect only the processing company. The official steps for obtaining a visa remain the same.
Omed Khoshnaw, governor of Erbil, met with Erman Topchu, the Turkish Consul General. According to the governorate, the meeting focused on the mechanisms for obtaining Turkish visas. The Consul General clarified that “recent modifications occurred solely at the level of the implementing company. The visa procedures themselves remain unchanged.”
The officials also discussed the latest political developments in the region. They reviewed relations between Erbil and Ankara. The Consul General expressed solidarity with recent victims in Erbil. He stressed the need to restore stability and security in the area.
Both sides emphasized their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties. They agreed to improve coordination in serving residents. Clear communication regarding visa services and other consular matters is a priority. This ensures that residents receive timely and accurate support.
