A high-level delegation from the Turkish Exporters Council, comprising over 20 prominent representatives from importing and trading companies, is currently visiting Erbil to foster deeper economic cooperation. These individuals collectively represent over 150,000 Turkish companies, signifying a major strategic initiative.

The Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry confirmed that the main objective of the delegation’s visit is to increase bilateral trade volume and strengthen commercial ties between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region. This reflects a shared interest in establishing a more diversified and sustainable economic relationship.

Erbil has emerged as a key commercial hub within Iraq and the wider region. Owing to its stability and secure environment, the city continues to attract international investors, especially from Turkey, who view it as a gateway for regional business expansion.

In addition to enhancing trade exchanges, the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry emphasized its commitment to encouraging major companies and investors to establish large-scale projects directly in Erbil, moving beyond traditional import-based models to promote long-term development and investment.
