The management team of the e-Psule platform announced that RT Bank will soon become the eighth bank and electronic wallet provider to offer digital payment services for electricity subscribers in the Kurdistan Region.
Currently, electricity subscribers can pay their bills through seven trusted banks and electronic wallets. These include Cihan Bank, FIB, and Iraqi Islamic Bank, as well as e-wallets such as NassWallet, FastPay, AsiaPay, and ZainCash. So far, nearly 140,000 electricity subscribers have used these digital platforms to pay their electricity fees.
The e-Psule management team confirmed that RT Bank will soon join the platform. This addition will make digital payments easier and more accessible for all citizens. Customers will be able to pay electricity bills quickly and securely through mobile applications and online portals.
Furthermore, the e-Psule platform is offering a special support initiative. Until March 12, 2026, any electricity payment made through e-Psule—whether for the Runaki Project or past debts—will receive a 20% credit. This credit will be applied to future bills and deducted from upcoming monthly electricity fees. This step demonstrates the platform’s commitment to helping households manage their electricity expenses efficiently.
Masrour Barzani officially launched the e-Psule platform on February 10, 2026. The system is the first government-backed digital payment platform in the Kurdistan Region. The project aligns with the ninth cabinet’s program to digitalize public services and reduce bureaucracy. By expanding the number of banks and e-wallets in the system, the e-Psule platform aims to encourage more citizens to adopt digital payments for electricity, simplifying the process and saving time.
This development highlights the growing importance of digital payment services for electricity subscribers in the Kurdistan Region. With the addition of RT Bank, more citizens can enjoy fast, convenient, and secure electricity bill payments.
