Sheikh Fakhir Tayeb, owner of Qaiwan Group, is participating in the Davos Forum, the world’s largest annual economic gathering. His presence highlights the growing role of Kurdistan’s private sector in shaping future economic development.
Speaking during the forum, Sheikh Fakhir Tayeb said Davos offers a valuable platform to learn from global experiences and apply them to local projects. He stressed that the discussions help business leaders plan ahead and adapt to global economic changes.
“The Davos Forum is the largest economic event of the year,” he said. “We benefit from these meetings to shape the future of our work and projects, especially in environmental protection, green energy, and artificial intelligence.”
This is the third consecutive year that Qaiwan Group has taken part in the forum. This year’s discussions focus on renewable energy, geopolitics, climate change, and global economic challenges. These issues directly affect investment decisions in the Kurdistan Region.
Around 20 prominent investors from the Kurdistan Region are attending Davos alongside the Kurdistan Regional Government’s delegation. They are holding a series of meetings with international investors at the Kurdistan House in Davos. These meetings aim to exchange expertise and build long-term economic partnerships.
Qaiwan Group plans to use the outcomes of these discussions as a roadmap for developing its strategic projects in the coming period. The company is active across several sectors and is increasingly focusing on sustainability and modern technologies.
The World Economic Forum in Switzerland brings together global political and business leaders every year. Through its participation, Qaiwan Group continues efforts to modernize its business model and align its projects with international standards and clean energy practices.
