The Soran Independent Administration has implemented more than 1,400 service projects across several key sectors within one year, reflecting significant progress in infrastructure development and public service delivery. According to official data, authorities launched a total of 1,442 projects in areas such as roads, housing, tourism, water, electricity, and other essential services.

As part of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s ninth cabinet program, which focuses on expanding infrastructure and improving services across all regions, the Soran Administration recorded strong momentum in project implementation throughout 2025. The program aims to raise living standards and ensure balanced development in both urban and rural areas.

Official statistics published on the Kurdistan Regional Government’s website show that authorities have already completed 1,099 projects and placed them into service for citizens. These completed projects have directly contributed to improving transportation networks, expanding residential areas, strengthening water and electricity supply, and supporting tourism activities in the region.

Meanwhile, work continues on the remaining projects. According to the data, 343 projects are still under construction and are progressing at different stages of implementation. Authorities say these projects will further enhance service quality once completed and will address growing demand driven by population growth and economic activity.

Project distribution data also highlights a strong focus on Soran city itself. A total of 474 projects were implemented exclusively in the city center. These projects have played a visible role in improving the city’s overall appearance, upgrading infrastructure, and enhancing the daily living conditions of residents.

Local officials emphasize that the high number of completed projects reflects effective planning and coordination between government institutions. They also stress that continued investment in service sectors remains a priority, with the goal of sustaining development, boosting economic opportunities, and improving the quality of life for citizens across the Soran Independent Administration.
