The Kurdistan Region has seen a significant increase in the number of Automated Teller Machines (ATMs), now totaling approximately 600 units. This development aligns with ongoing efforts to streamline the salary payment process for over 400,000 public sector employees who are part of the recently launched “My Account” initiative.

As part of this project, bank cards have been issued to government employees, enabling direct access to their salaries through the ATM network. The deployment of ATMs has been strategically expanded to cover a wide range of locations, including residential areas, malls and supermarkets.

This infrastructural enhancement is expected to significantly reduce the overcrowding and delays that previously occurred during salary distribution periods. Moreover, further installations are planned to improve accessibility and ensure smoother financial transactions for employees throughout the region.
