The dam is located in the autonomous administration of Germiyan. It has a budget of 245 billion dinars. The structure will be 880 meters long and 20 meters high. Its reservoir will extend 150 meters from the base. The dam will include nine sluice gates. Four turbines will generate 34 megawatts of electricity.

The dam and surrounding pond areas will protect local communities against floods this year. It will also increase groundwater recharge and prevent desertification.
