A large-scale safari park is set to be developed in the Pirmam area of Erbil, allocating 1,000 acres specifically for a drive-through nature experience. The project aims to offer visitors immersive access to natural landscapes from the safety of their vehicles, enhancing public engagement with the environment.

Spanning a total of 6,000 acres across the regions of Senk, Hanara, Binau and Pirmam. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to preserve biodiversity and create a habitat where wildlife can thrive in a semi-natural, resource-rich environment.

As part of the park’s infrastructure, several artificial ponds are planned, including a major reservoir currently in the design phase that will have a capacity of three million cubic meters of water. These features will not only support the local ecosystem but also reinforce the park’s role in promoting sustainable tourism and environmental education.
