The distribution of subsidized government fuel priced at 750 Iraqi dinars continues across Erbil. Today, authorities are supplying fuel at 20 stations throughout the governorate. Officials say the process aims to ease pressure on citizens and ensure stable access to affordable fuel.

Salar Mohammed confirmed that distribution resumed after a short halt. He explained that the program had paused for several days before restarting on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Since then, fuel distribution has gradually expanded across the region.

According to Mohammed, authorities supplied fuel at 25 stations across Erbil. They continue the process at 20 stations located in the city center, surrounding areas, and nearby districts. He stressed that teams are working daily to maintain a steady supply and avoid disruptions.

The recent increase in fuel demand follows rising prices across the Kurdistan Region. Regional tensions, including conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran, have contributed to market instability. As a result, fuel prices have climbed, which has increased demand for subsidized fuel among residents and drivers.

Many citizens now rely on the 750-dinar fuel option to manage daily expenses. Drivers, in particular, seek affordable fuel to cope with higher transportation costs. Therefore, long queues often form at stations that offer subsidized fuel.

Relevant authorities emphasize that they are taking steps to ensure a continuous supply. They are coordinating with fuel stations and monitoring distribution closely. In addition, they aim to prevent shortages and reduce waiting times for customers.

Overall, officials expect the distribution process to continue in the coming days. They hope a stable supply will ease public concerns and support residents during this period of rising fuel costs.
