The Kurdistan Regional Government Ministry of Finance and Economy says the final installment for February salaries has reached its bank account. Officials say the ministry will publish the salary distribution schedule today. Payments will start soon after the announcement.

Additionally, financial teams completed the required procedures after the funds arrived. The ministry now prepares the payment timetable. Authorities will distribute salaries to public employees and pensioners across the region.

Earlier, a government source said 295 billion Iraqi dinars entered the account of the Kurdistan Regional Government. This transfer increased the total February salary funding to 935 billion Iraqi dinars.

In addition, in a statement issued Monday, March 9, 2026, the ministry confirmed the details of the transfer. Officials said 295 billion and 405 million Iraqi dinars arrived as the final installment for February salaries. The money entered the ministry’s account at the Central Bank of Iraq branch in Erbil.

Furthermore, the ministry also criticized financial authorities in Baghdad. Officials say the federal government has not transferred 16 billion, 107 million, and 881 thousand dinars. This amount belongs to pension payments for retired civilian and military employees.

Officials also raised concerns about another unpaid amount. The ministry says Baghdad has not released 36 billion, 360 million, and 864 thousand dinars. Authorities deducted this money earlier from the January salary funding. The amount belongs to last year’s entitlements for retired soldiers, civilian retirees, and wounded veterans.

Therefore, the Kurdistan Finance Ministry says it has sent official letters to federal authorities. Technical teams have also worked to clarify the issue. However, the funds have not yet reached the beneficiaries.

Officials say solving this financial dispute remains important. Regular salary payments depend on stable funding transfers. Authorities also stress the need to protect the financial rights of retirees and public servants across the Kurdistan Region.
